A conference on life in the Anthropocene was held at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in May of 2014.  The conference was a production of the Aarhus University Research on the Anthropocene (AURA) Project, along with the Institute for Humanities Research at UCSC, and the Emerging Worlds initiative of the anthropology department there.  Videos of the presentations are available online. If you ever wanted to engage, in a very serious way, with the Chthulucene in all its glory, this is a good place to start.
